You don’t have to be rich or have a green thumb to have a good-looking yard!
The goal of the Curtis Bay Yard of the Week (YOTW) contest is to recognize those who are taking action and showing pride in their surroundings.
This contest is different than many Yard Contests in that the judges are recognizing effort, not the amount of money spent on flowers, and will recognize 10 proud households per week, not the traditional three per month. Winners receive a colorful, durable sign which is theirs to keep, $10 in gold one-dollar coins, a certificate, and their picture (if they wish) posted on the ilovecurtisbay.com website and in the monthly Curtis Bay Bulletin.
A little effort makes a big difference and brings out the winner in us all! Pride in our yards, streets, and blocks will enable Curtis Bay to become the neighborhood where we want to be and where our children can flourish.
Judging will take place Sunday afternoons until 23 July. Categories are:
Most Tender Loving Care, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Place
Together we are helping Curtis Bay to reach its potential, everybody wins when our community is beautiful!
